Certification

WTTI provides testing for the certification of welder and procedure qualifications through our ISO 17025 accredited test lab and AWS Accredited Test Facility (ATF). Results are available within 2-3 business days and testing can be expedited per special request.

Procedure qualifications are required when standard welding procedures are not or cannot be used. The purpose of the welding procedure is to guide welders to utilize repeatable and trusted welding techniques. The procedure will vary depending on the code or specification being employed, and based on the material alloy and for each welding type used. WTTI can qualify and document the procedure (PQR) and create a WPS that defines the necessary variables for your process.

Welder qualification testing is performed in accordance with a broad range of codes, standards, and specifications, in WTTI's ISO 17025 accredited mechanical and nondestructive test laboratory.

WTTI can issue the following welder qualification documents to those welders who pass their performance test (per code): Welder Qualification Maintenance Log, Welder Qualification ID Card, and required certification paperwork in accordance with specific welding codes.

Typically, the results of testing are available within 2-3 business days. Testing can be expedited and results available sooner per special request.

Brazer testing and qualification is available through WTTI. Braze tests include copper to copper, copper to stainless, brass, and other alloys per ASME Section IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and AWS B2.2.

WTTI issues the following Brazer Certification documents to those who pass their performance test (per code): Brazer Certification ID Card, and required certification paperwork in accordance with specific codes.

Typically, the results of testing are available within 2-3 business days. Testing can be expedited and results available sooner per special request.
